その他の短編ズは、森脇ひとみと板村瞳の二人のヒトミにより2012年に結成。2013年に、'その他の短編ズ' と'B'の2枚のアルバムを自主レーベルよりリリース。京都と東京を中心に活動中。小説を読んでいるような錯覚に陥る独特な詩の世界と、アコースティックギターとキーボードで作り出される切ないメロディで、コアなファンを増やしている。

3作目となる'3'は、2014年春に、現在拠点にしている京都で録音。二人のヒトミの詩的な世界にさらに磨きがかかっています。

Sonotanotanpenz are a duo of two Hitomi’s, Moriwaki and Itamura, formed in May 2012. They self-released their first two albums in early and late 2013 (‘Sonotanotanpenz’ and ‘B’) and have followed this up with ‘3’ on Kirigirisu Recordings. They are based in Kyoto and are mainly active there and in the Tokyo area.

Their music is crafted from conversations between two acoustic guitars, keyboard beats, keyboard melodies and occasional keyboard drones. This is combined with a distinctive verbal mix, sometimes dark lyrical themes sang in rounds, sometimes dramatic reading, sometimes stream of consciousness, sometimes plaintive melodies and delivery.

‘3’ was recorded in Kyoto in the Spring of 2014. Thank you to the band for letting us put it out.

Incredible! I’d recommend this to any armchair travellers… so many different music styles/traditions all rolled into one. Arrangements are exciting and the voice of ms.
