IJは、デュオであり、カップルである、Inge van den Kroonenberg とJürgen De Blondeのコラボレーション。このアルバムは、2つのライブセッションでの音源を使って作成されました。前半の6曲は、IJのベッドルームのスタジオでのセッションより。後半の3曲は、"Music for library"シリーズの一環として、ベルギー、ヘントの図書館で行なったセッションを収録しました。

Inge van den Kroonenberg (1982/3/4) は、サウンド・レコーディスト兼多分野アーティスト。音から彫刻から、様々なものをプロデュースしています。

Jürgen De Blonde (1975/3/28) は、20年以上音楽家として活動。これまで数多くのアルバムをリリースしており、その作品の大半は、 soundcloud.com/co9 や kohn.bandcamp.com で聴くことができます。

IJ は、初のフルアルバムである “in the vicinity of the extraordinary”を、Kirigirisu Recordingsよりリリースできることをうれしく思います。

IJ is Inge van den Kroonenberg & Jürgen De Blonde. IJ is a duo and a couple. This album is a compilation of segments taken from two live sessions performed by IJ with no audience. The first six tracks are taken from the first session which was performed in the bedroom studio of IJ using a synth, a kaoss pad and a sound library. The sound library consists of self recorded sounds from the field and the studio. The last three tracks were taken from a session that was performed in a library in Ghent as part of the “Music for library” series. One part of this session was released on the LP “Music for Library”. The set-up was the same, except for an extra kalimba.
Inge van den Kroonenberg (04/03/1982) is a sound recordist and multidisciplinary artist producing work ranging from sculpture to rupture.
Jürgen De Blonde (28/03/1975) is a sound and music artist who’s been active for over twenty years. He has released numerous albums, most of which can be checked out on either soundcloud.com/co9 or kohn.bandcamp.com.

IJ is happy to present their first full-length album called “in the vicinity of the extraordinary” on Kirigirisu Recordings.
